XHTML

Is considered, Extensible Hypertext Markup Language. The "x" came from XML. And also uses the filename ".html" This is a stricter and cleaner version of HTML and is aimed to replace it. All new web browsers support XHTML. Important terms to remember are, proper nestung, proper tag closing, elements in lowercase, one root element, qouted values, forbidden atributes and more.

Lists

They are used to specify lits of information. All lists may containt one or more lists elements. There are 3 types of HTML lists, Ordered list or numbered list(ol), Unordered lists or bulleted list(ul) and Description list or definition/glossary lists(dl). You can also nest lists within lists to create a hierarchy of information, by putting unordered or ordered lists inside the first lists item tags.

Tables

Allows you to organize and arrange data into columns and rows. Shows us a visual tabular form. Recommended for information that is best for simpler audience and summarization. Tables allows you to divide your page into sections where you can place headers, footers and navigation links. By default tables has no borders so you need to have a value of atleast 1 for the border attribute.

HyperLinks

They are reference links that allows you to navigate to another page of the same document or to another document. There are three types of hyperlinks, Absolute URL which links to a page on a different web server, Relative URL which links to a page on the same web server, annd Named Anchor which links to a different location on the same web page. To link a page on a different website you have to find first the destination file path then copy to your code to create a link.

Forms

This allows you to gather feedback to provide better service and is purposely designed for gathering information on the internet. Important for data gathering and surveys. These HTML documents are sent back to the server once user submits them. The areas on the form are called fields, text fields, or text boxes. It has two attributes, action which is responsible for indicating where the information will be passed, and Method which is responsible for indicating the way for sending the information.

CSS

CSS describes how HTML elements are to be displayed on media and saves a lot of work. The capabilities of CSS are, making your page easily updatable, position objects on the page, layer objects on the page, and create custom tags. There are many advantages of CSS such as, saves typing and development time, downloads faster due to your browser only downloading one file once and you can also have multiple link tags in one document.

This was one of the first weeks of the first quarter. During this time Miss Uminga was absent and kindly gave her time for our science project. In our science project we willl show the stages of respiration through a roleplay. Me and my groupmates had a good time during practice and were even given a good score on presentation day.

This was during suspension of classes because of the faulty weather. During this time the flood finally wore off somehow, which gave me a chance to focus more on my activities like the e portfolio. At this time I didnt really know what to do and begun with the background and headers.

This was an individual activity given to us about forms. For me it was pretty difficult and took much of my time. But it all went well because I did my best and found ways to solve different problems on my coding. For me even though this was really difficult I was still able to learn and the extension Miss Uminga gave us was really helpful.

There were several activities I had with my pair Rosean Parado which were pretty fun and definitely easier done together. I liked pairworks more because even if there was quite of a struggle with other activities, atleast I know I am not alone. And that we can solve it together as a pair.
